W/Boucheron cheese. We’ll try this tasting alternating between
dating one lovely, and dating her and her twin sister.
1st things 1st. just met about 30 min ago up at the bar. Nose= chocolate carrot cake.
It has full, round booty. She drives a tan Acura, with a slick leather and lavendar air freshener.
1st pale palate impression: cinnamon, pepper, and the fruits lurking in the wings.
They’ve set the ripe fruit jacket on top of the oak. It’ll sit for the rest of the party hoping no one steals it. There’s only 10 people or so here now. Damn, I showed up too early…
Someone lays his or her leather jacket of plum on mine. More are starting to show up. Plum.
The wallflower speaks. Oak is coming out more.
The spice has moved even out to my lips. Let’ try the cheese tray.
The French) Boucheron) has smoothed things, there’s caramel on the midpalate.
Unripe cherry just dropped off at the supermarket for the shelves
the spiciness (the cinnamon) is overwhelming everything at this point 30 minutes in)
Nose’s now a wonka-esque chocolate river. Last of the cheese tray for now.
Big caramel square wrapped in that Halloween plastic. Herbal notes, a bit bitter.
The girl I just finished dating shows up. (The bitterness). Hopefully she leaves soon.
There’s no middle ground right now. Just nose, and spice. The cheese really helps; the cinnamon shoots out your nose.
This wine shows new world Cali right now, except for the tannin.
1 hr in.
The wine breathes. The nose smooth. Fruit on the palate calls and tells you it won’t make the party, but misses you. The palate speaks now spice. It sniffs the wrapper or a Cuban cigar it has I its pocket.
All I get is spice and wood. Usually wood is a good thing,
But it overwhelms this wine.
She needs some time apart, to think about things. There’s potential, you might have another date.. Who knows?
Her sister Alicante is pretty cute. Maybe you should call HER.
She’s a 2005. Drink in another 2 yrs. She can go that long, easy. She doesn’t put out on the first date. Pick up your coat and leave. The party was O.K. put rather to be fashionably late, than acerbically early.
The Olsen twins in Madrid 10 yrs ago.
I give her an 80. Let her sleep.
